The ability to edit a quote shouldn't be a forum feature. The only person that should be able to edit what is written is the person that wrote it.

If you detele a quote for the sake of pyramid quoting, which you should be doing because it frowned upon, you should have to detlet the entire post, not be able to cut them up to use only the bits and peices you want.

I see it used a lot on forums to pull things out of context.
It's a dirty way of debating; which kind of the point of a forum.

I disagree.

It is easy enough to verify the original posting as it is still there intact.

EDIT: The ability to edit and shorten quotage can be vital, and the editing, either legitimate or nefarious, is up to the person doing it....and up to the Forum Moderator to manage.

I see no problem here at all.

I have found a new sexual game to play with my boyfriend.

Natsett Amuinn did not realize that one can type whatever one wants in anyway, using quotes or without, but wrote:

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

People will do it, thetes little that you can do about it except realise that those worth talking to will actaully have read what you said.

Plus your side not on totally being ok with "the gays" just comes off as either closeted or homophobic

The ability to edit a quote should remain a forum feature. Every person should be able to edit what is written , even the person that wrote it.

It's a dirty forum.

Good afternoon. I would like to remind everyone in this thread of the following rule.

Quote:
17. Impersonation of another party is prohibited.

Forum users are strictly prohibited from impersonating any other party on the EVE Online forums. This includes but is not limited to ISD volunteers, CCP employees, CCP partners and other forum users. This also includes suggesting that an employee of CCP or an ISD volunteer will perform a task for you.

This includes modifying quotes to say something that they did not originally say. I will also be closing this thread due to rampant trolling. Thank you.

Thread locked.
