Yesterday I started in my mission to be a Philanthropist, I logged in and found out that SOMER Blink were having some server issues. So my mission began............

I went out and used my own ISK to purchase:

10 PLEX
2 x Carriers
1 x Carrier Skillbook
1 x Capital Ships Skillbook
and 1B in liquid ISK


I then proceeded to GIVE it away in the SOMER Chat channel.

I asked people to solve riddles, caption contests, Dice Rolls, Random Playing cards, random numbers nothing high tech, people simply mailed me a number or a card and then I used [url]http://random.org[/url] to pick a winner then contracted the goods over. EASY PEASY

Now some people will call SCAM and TROLL, but I assure you that my intentions were pure and I just felt like being generous. I have lots of "winners" that can attest to that fact.

I have a grander plan in mind and my end goal is to essentialy start up a "charitable fund" that will quite simply, log into chat channels at random and have a stable base in my own private channel and GIVE STUFF AWAY.

Some of you will say "whats in it for you". And the answer is,nothing but a certain feeling of contentment and excitement. When you give away a PLEX card to someone who has been trying to earn enough to buy one for weeks and you get a message proclaiming their joy and thanks. Its JOY people, generosity and Philanthropy have been around for millenaia yet EVE seems to have a lack of Genuine Charitys. Ask your self why this is?



I am aware that this can be done much better than I can do as I am not the best set up in the world, I have no webpage, I have no amazing API lottery system, its just me logging into channels to give people things for a bit of participation. I am not sitting on 100's of Billion ISK, I don't have much but what ever I do have... IS YOURS

Now this is where a lot of people will shout SCAM, LOSER, TROLL. blah blah blah. But the truth is. WE ALL have Skillbooks, Mods, Ships lying around that we don't use, why not give them to someone who would really truly benefit from it.

So if your feeling generous and want to help then please feel free to do so. If you have other charitable service to provide then lets do that. If someone has spare web space for my fund then amazing, literally anything that people can do would me greatly appreciated. Its about time we all stopped for a second and just let our selves trust, just a bit

Actually, a nice idea. I've always enjoyed doing "Random Acts of Kindness" in the real world. Maybe I'll hang out in some starter zones and hand out ISK a few million at a time to new players.

Something like this is great to see, kudos to you sir for making peoples day.
Someone mentioned handing out ISK in the starter systems... This is something i have done occasionally with my previous corp.
Maybe one day when i have a more "disposable" ISK flow will i be able to do something like this as well :)
