The improvement to plates are welcome, but because of shield passive regeneration, increasing armor HP doesn't really give you the same benefit that it does for shields. Perhaps plates could get something small to make up for the difference. Something thematically appropriate might be that thicker plating means that you get better resistances. The amount should be small and might scale a bit with plate size, but getting an extra 1-5% resistances across the board from added plates might make the difference. It would also further differentiate armor from shield without dramatically changing them or unbalancing them. Final numbers could be tweaked.

One other possibility would be to give plates a bonus percentage hit points in addition to their raw hit points.

Are you serious? Armour already HAS something small to make up for the difference. You have a 1600mm plate that gives you almost double the extra hit points that a Large Shield Extender does.

I swear you people are like spoiled children.

How about we swap, you can have that weight on your shield tank along with the hp. No? Why not?Lol

Well, considering those weight penalties were just greatly reduced, sure go right ahead.

Also I normally armour tank, but I do have skills for both. Unlike most people seem to have, I have taken the two weeks to train both.

I take it you don't know many caldari cap/super pilots. By and large they would sign off on this with a hell yeah +!. Most have either already x-trained to an armour cap to not hate life...or are thinking about it.

As a rokh pilot I'd say go right ahead. My rokh is born slow....at least it would have some ehp finally like this. This is why I x-trained to armour in fact. Better ehp. And better dps. Better dps using less dps mods in fact (rokhs will make you cry....you pile up mag stabs and its like why won't you not chip paint you pita)
