Hi just installed the latest version of your super tool, kudos to you guys for making it.

One small thing though I am on a linux box and when I tried to run it using the

$ ./pyfa.py command it said command not found,

so I had to use(command below) while in the pyfa directory

$ python pyfa.py

I believe you missed out declaring it as a python file and a linux box doesn't know what to do with it because of this.

Many thanks

I had the same problem drove me mad trying to work it out.

I have an issue: I fitted a Caracal with HAML using Rage missiles. Pyfa tells me the missile will fly at 6328 m/sec while, if I understand it right, it should be 1875 (base missile speed) * 1.50 (Missile Projection V) * 1.50 (Caracal with Caldari Cruiser V) = 4218,75 m/s
It means that, with perfect skills, Pyfa tells me my range would be 6328 * 4 (base flight time) * 1.50 (Missile Bombardment V) = 37.968km while in reality it will be 4218.75 * 4 * 1.50 = 25.3125km.

Where is it? Is it ready, Master??

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

I'm one of those guys playing on linux, and I love having Pyfa that runs natively without any hassle :) So I'll be a happy man once I see the update for retri 1.1, my BC are waiting for some love ;)

And thanks for the good work so far by the way man !

Any chance of having the subsystems show how they affect the slot layout on t3's like in eft? i find that really useful and its one of the only things i use eft for anymore.

ETA? I've always loved how Pyfa is typically updated before EFT is; really anxious to be able to test out fits with the new stuff! Thanks!

I'm doing the final tweaks on the build now. It will be tested and released tomorrow, along with an update of the database on the website itself.

I apologize for the slow update, first (and hopefully last) time it happens.

Oh gee. A little late on a free fitting tool that you volunteer your time to keep updated. I guess we will let it slide this time.

Seriously though. Thanks for your dedication to it. Best fitting tool ever.

if you're up for it (as well as anyone else), you can hop on our irc channel (#evefit on irc.coldfront.net) and help me test it before I release it :) Also means you get early access as an extra perk (Though the build is simply on our git repos for now, anyone can access it if they wish)

Pyfa looks great. But having a little trouble. I'm on a mac, downloaded it, extracted it, ran the exe. It runs and I can start doing fittings and all that. But I don't know how to use my character stats. The only options I have are all skills 0 and all skills 5. Was I supposed to extract it into a certain folder? Is there some way to get it to access api data?

Could someone point me in the right direction? Would be greatly appreciated

Go to window -> character editor, you can add a character via API there.

Update on pyfa folks, I won't put it in the main post yet, as I'm not a 100% it's bugfree, Only having limited testing done on it. This may be considered a beta build. A guaranteed working 1.1.13 build will be made in a few days after I get some bug reports (or the lack thereof, meaning its all good :>).

Find the builds here: http://dl.evefit.org/pyfa/beta/1.1.13/
