With Linux (Ubuntu in particular) becoming more popular of an operating system and more hardware support coming from PC manufacturers (system 76 is a great example building hardware dedicated to run Ubuntu boasting gaming capable hardware) I would like to be able to play EVE online in my Ubuntu OS. And be that much closer to severing Microsofts flawed system of owning my OS rather than me control my Personal Computer (PC).

They used to do that. CCP. It wasn't a native client but some kinda emulation.

They discontinued it because it sucked, however I doubt CCP will do this for the forseable future considering the resources needed to make two clients that are being updated at once. Not to mention they would probably do a native mac client before windows.
