So that means we targeted something??????

Should it not read "You failed to target anything"?

As nothing does not exist, any attempt to target it can only fail. "You failed to target nothing" is a simple statement of futility.

Perhaps the ships name was 'nothing'.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Let's put it this way:

"You cannot target nothing."

- You have to target something.

"You cannot target anything."

- Can someone please get this Falcon off of me?

edit: a more appropriate line would be something like "Target is no longer within range." But I like what it says now.

I would like to be able to target nothing, for that matter, I'd like an autopilot that is smarter than my Atari 400......Oops

It is more likely that you targeted everything. However, your guns are not able to handle such a load of data, and as a result, even though you have EVERYTHING targeted, they are not capable of selecting any point to fire at, or even any general direction, and as such, they will not fire until you lock a specific target.

You failed to target nothing

Does not imply you succeeded at targeting anything.

Your targeting failed because nothing was there.

Reminds me of an error message I had on a computer once, "An unnamed file was not found."

This message brought to you by Experience(tm). When common sense fails you, experience will come to the rescue. Experience(tm) from the makers of CONCORD.

That's my favorite message in the game. You tried to target nothing and you failed. I think if you try more, you're gonna get a lock on that nothing !

no, just stop to target nothing.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

CCP just likes telling players...

"You failed...

Whatever follows after that is just some random gibberish drowned out by their laughter.
