This thread is new and original and certainly doesn't belong in the Features and Ideas forum.

But no, seriously, this thread concept has been beaten to death. No good will come of this thread. If I could login right now, I would bounty you for lawls, because your post makes me think you're the type of person who thinks this will create a killright. Too bad the "bounty from forums" feature doesn't exist. (Also a topic that has been beaten quite a bit)

Also..."no one suicides in 1.0 anyway" is a false statement based on an assumption which you didn't bother to look up. People definitely get ganked in 1.0s.

EDIT: Got the subforum name wrong.
These idiot ideas will continue to spawn. Because there's a never-ending supply of idiots.

I, too, wish for the 'apply bounty' button in the fora.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

As subj states if this is fair enough to do some changes which will acomodate both sides:
1.0 - becomes carebear heaven,
0.6 and 0.5 - becomes low sec.

Advantages:
1. High sec population get their pvp free zones (I think nobody suicides in 1.0 anyway),
2. Low sec expanded splitting high-sec in to isles fixing risk / reward issue when you need to take risk to trade between hubs,
3. mining in 1.0 will be depleted soon, meaning more miners need to play MMO style asking others for protecting and ops in mining in low sec,
4. Prices will go high fixing the economy inflation and increasing ship demand due to more losses.

Anything else?

Disadvantages:
1. Eve is no longer hard, or dark, with complete safe zones, ruining the core component of the game
2. People DO suicide gank in 1.0s, just not freighters
3. Low sec is currently terribly broken, with abysmall risk versus reward outside of Faction warfare. This will only further the amount of garbage space
4. This won't change where miners mine. Theres no ice 1.0 systems anyway, nor are there hardly any worth mining in anyway. Miners currently already have a way to be near gank immune (Tanked Skiffs), and choose not to do so, in favour of higher profits.
5. Prices will only go high as a result of the complete and ultimate collapse of trade in eve, which leads to point 6.

6. All highsec trade routes go through at least one 0.5 or 0.6 between trade hubs. It will become impossible, short of jump freightering, to safely move goods between, or eve TO trade hubs. Not to mention some of the current trade hubs will become low sec.

Thus, CCP will be forced to re-do the security status of every region of highsec, effectively to a map of the way it is now, with the only true change being that there will be significantly less high sec systems to drop towers in, and missions will pay out less (due to everything in highsec now being 0.7-1.0).

TL:DR If you think this is even remotely plausible, you haven't the faintest idea how Eve works.

Dont you dare touch my lowsec. its risk v reward is there and worth it already. its 2 to 3x more profitable than hisec in every aspect. you just get to get shot at for trying! if anything hisec's ability for risk adversity stops people from going to lowsec

No....just...no...

If 1.0 becomes PvP free, I'm willing to bet that 80% of all highsec carebears move there...
