NERFING gone wild...

Well now...CCP is taking down the drake a notch or two it seems. Just be aware CCP, i have bought MANY Drakes already and fitted them as well...
If you care to buy them back including ALL the fits i've purchased for them, then FINE. I will throw in my NOW useless Hulk as well. This game is becoming more frustrating then im willing to continue to pay for. I work for my money to spend in a pleasant game to escape the woe's of reality, only to have CCP bring those woe's to the game as well. For the sake of BALANCE you say? Then try balancing your budget when you begin to lose players by the HUNDREDS! When does it end? Might as well start making ALL the ships out of FOAM for all the nerfing ya'll are doing. I am now a disgruntled player, and that IS NOT the reason i plaY EVE. CCP can have all my drakes, all my hurricanes, as well as the fits i've purchased for them and replace them with a nice little Jovian destroyer, just one, and THEN perhaps i will be content. NOT HAPPY, but content.

Please note that the plural of "woe" is "woes," not "woe's."

If you're going to post a brick-shaped rant like that, at least have the decency to spell things correctly.

You're upset that your favorite ship isn't quite as good in comparison to its competition anymore.

This is when you adapt and learn to make your favorite ship work in the new environment or maybe fly a different ship. It's hardly something to quit over.

You are aware that the slight nerf to the drake is long overdue. If its really a huge problem advertise them in contracts to sell. I'm pretty sure people will still be using them. And the hulk isn't bad at all. It's just been brought back in line with what CCP intended for it. Stop crying and learn to adapt, or die. Those are your options.

This is confusing, hasn't the Drake been nerfed for awhile now? What?

Drake damage is getting buffed.
Drake tank is getting nerfed... slightly.
I don't see the problem.

You should probably check the dev blog that shows Hulks are still heavily used, mostly in the procurement of high end ore in Null.

Apparently when you know who is and who isn't supposed to be in your space it's easy to feel secure in a Hulk... secure enough to squeeze out every last drop of extra yield it gets compared to it's safer to fly brethren.

I think in a few months time similar studies will show the Drake (and Hurricane for that matter) to still be a very popular choice.

The only difference will be that all the other BC's will actually get some use for a change.

I use the Drake ALOT in PvP. Because frankly, why would you use any other Battlecruiser?

That in itself is a sign these nerfs are required. Having said that, I have used the new drake, and frankly it's a damn machine. With high skill levels it does the most ridiculous amounts of damage. If you add boosters and implants to that the damn thing is unstoppable. I will be happy with this change, because I always squeeze every last drop of damage out of my ships.
