Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is developed by Platinum Games, who also did Bayonetta. It's been confirmed that gameplay will be more "hack and slash" than what Metal Gear fans are used to, and MGR:R was developed by Platinum Games for this reason.

As Raiden appeared in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, slicing walker tanks... Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is that game.

GameStop's promotion is a 24-page artbook and a DLC code to play as Gray Fox. the code will be printed on your receipt, and as usual, GameStop holds midnight releases. This is the earliest way to get your game, of the three promotions.

Amazon's promotion is a red suit that features increased max capacity for "throwing" weapons. the DLC code is promised as an email within 2 days of release.

Best Buy's promotion is a white suit that features enhanced health recovery ability. the DLC code is promised as an email on release day.

GameStop is my go-to for console games, since they do midnight releases and I prefer hard copies of console games that are resell-able (and can be traded-in), unlike digital copies. (also, there is a salesperson at my local GameStop who is -the- person you want to talk video games with. he's awesome. and he's part-time, so you don't get the feeling someone has wasted their life and you are benefiting from it. )

ANYway sometimes, I get caught in the pre-order DLC madness and I purchase all the pre-orders. which I have with this game. I'll be selling 2 new-in-packaging copies of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance at a slight discount... and I'm sharing the idea because I think it's a good one, and when new-in-packaging games easily sell for retail or near-retail price (no tax), it's a way to get your hands on pre-order DLC's free.

I love Bayonetta. I love Metal Gear, especially on PS3..... next Monday night will be awesome. (good thing my classes aren't until 3pm)
