Whats is the best standings possible with opposing NPC factions.

I still dabble in missions occasionally, and was idly wondering what the best possible standings are between a pair of opposing factions (ie: Amarr/Minnie , or Gallente/Caldari)

Given that doing storylines for one, wrecks the standings for the other, what is the best you can get both to, simultaneously?

I would have happily run Minmatar exclusively, but since I also operate a fair bit in Amarr and Caldari space, it is definitely not in my best interests to wreck those standings.

My best guess is that you can get balanced raw standings between 5.50 and 6.00 (without skill bonuses), but anything above that I am unsure of.

Anyone have an opposing faction pair higher, and how did you do it?

Sometimes killing enemies of one faction (like pirates) will raise your standing with that faction without impairing your standing with their opposite (ie: Amarr and Minmattar). But with all the skills available, I think it is possible to reach 10 with each, but it would require a lot of time. Though I am not sure of this, so someone more experience could maybe confirm or infirm.

One trick is that you get a standings boost with one faction without any penalty to the opposite faction by running the Epic Arc missions. If you do the Eve and 4 Empire arcs every 3 months you can build up quite nice standings, with no hard limit that I'm aware of other than the 90 day cooldown.

Possible? You can get perfect standings with the four main factions, thanks to the Sisters of Eve epic arc. However considering the fact that you can only do it every 3 months makes it a pain unless you really really want to do it.

Do the lvl4 epic arcs, the standing gains don't effect the other factions.

They also pay more than standard lvl4s, wave after wave of high bounty battleships.

I did the Gallente epic arc some months ago, solo in an Ishtar, pre-drone destruction, and it damn near murdered me.
I can't imagine running it solo again, but will examine the guides on the Minnie epic arc.

I've done it in a Proteus a few times. The relatively small sig helps a lot with tanking the wave after wave of Elite Battleships they like to throw at you.
Amarr arc is far easier. Caldari one was easy, but requires some lowsec travel.
