Yes for pirate battlecruisers. I don't see any other good reason to seperate the skill and more battlecruiser options are always nice.

Why not? More toys to play is always good. I support both pirate BC's and faction BC's. I also support custom paintjob BC's, Jovian BC's, Concord BC's and Navy NPC BC's patrolling gates.

However, I CAN see the problem with creating a ship which would be a step between a Cynabal and a Machariel, though.

The problem being that you would hardly see any other ship around LOL.
