Force Projection is the ability for a state (or in EVE's case, Corporation or alliance) to exert military force, rather quickly, away from home borders/base of operations.

The United States primarily use Aircraft carriers and the CAW (Carrier Air Wing) and Marine Expeditionay Unit (MEU) to exert naval, Land and air power agaist an enemy at a moments notice.

In EVE, they use Titans.

Force projection through titan bridging is CCP`s new way to make your ears BLEED!!

It also helps bring the New Eden map feel as small as... a board game.
