Hey everybody

I have a question about standing, you see its hard to boost your corp standing in factional as CEO,but personal standing easily to booste in my mind.

I heard that a new rule that the corp standing will be down by member after 7 days, I wanna kno the truth and how about it going.
so do that I have to let someone join my corp share his standing by his high factional standing to keep my POS online ,right?

and in the end the POS has no fuel or my corp at war, the POS will be destroyed or lost ?

Im sorry that my broken english perhaps hard to kno wut I said

Thank you

Despite your bad English, and inconsistencies of thought, and concept, I am going to attempt to answer this in a broad fashion, that should cover your questions.

POS standings, are the average, for every member in the corporation, that has been part of the corporation for more than 7 downtimes. A character that does not have ANY standing (not 0, just none) will not affect the standings of a corporation.

This means, if you want to raise the standings of your corp, to anchor a pos, you can bring someone else into the corp, who has high standings to that faction. IF you have standings to that faction already, and they are not similarly high, you will need to leave the corp, for the rising period, or else your standings will prevent the corp standings from reaching the desired level.

If, your character has NO standings to that particular faction, you may remain in the corp, even as CEO. Position and role within the corporation has no bearings on the rate of standings change.

Now, once your corporation has reached desired standings, you can rejoin the corp, eject the standings booster, and for 7 days, you will be able to anchor control towers, based on the standings. After that point, if you have standings to that particular faciton, you will lose the ability to do so in 1-2 downtimes after those 7.

Once the standings drop, you will not be able to anchor any control towers, however, you will retain complete control and function over currently anchored control towers, including but not limited to, Onlining and offlining them, refueling, and anchoring additional pos mods, as well as doing research.

Should you be at war, and the pos is destroyed, then yes, at that point you will need to get the standings repaired (re-boosted) to deploy a new control tower.

So just let somebody join my corp whom has high factional and stay for 7 days, it seems such easy.

Yes, you can hire people to join your corp, and raise the standings. There are a number of people on the forums, in the WTS and Trade sections of the forum, that offer these services, for between 100 and 200million generally. There tends to be a bit of a wait time, if you want your corp raised, a few days to a few weeks.

If you want to MAINTAIN the standings, then train up some lab characters that have 0 standings, and only have them in the corp. That, or engage yourself in the long, tedious, mind numbing process of grinding up the standings yourself.

Just let them stay in my corp for 7days then leave?
And back to my corp when standing down?

You can actually just buy a pre made corp with standings ready to anchor a POS. You give them money then they give you CEO. You then have 7 days to anchor a POS before the standings drop. You do not need to maintain the standings to keep the POS online.

If your personal standings are really 0, and have never been modified, then they will not be used in the calculation of the corporation average. If that is the case then corp standing would be 8.

If you gain or lose standing with the faction then your standings will be included in the corp average calculation and could bring it down to 4.

Yes. But to tell if you have true 0 standings, check your standings. If the name of the faction does not appear, you have NO standings to them. If the name of the faction appears, but says Neutral (0.00), then you wiill affect the average.

I kept all my miners/indy toons highsec faction standing free, for this reason.

You will be fine then, as long as you do not haul any illegal goods, run any missions, or kill any highsec faction npcs.

Keep in mind once the tower is up you don't need to maintain the standings.

This is like her 4th thread asking this same question, so i'm not sure keeping it in mind is one of her strengths.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
