Okay here goes

I take a break from EvE and when i come back my main char has been stolen. Then I find that my char is actually flying about in space. Any email I send is not answered and any convo is rejected.

I send a petition to this effect and ccp said I transferred the char.....

Of course I didnt send the char I wouldnt be petitioning the F£$%^&G account if it was legal.

So

Why hasn ccp banned the char whilst this is being investigated.
Why does ccp take so long to resolve and why didnt this get escalated sooner

10 DAYS WITH NO SENIOR GM response

Ok rant over please advise anyone?

We can't really do anything; you will have to wait for the petition response. Provide as much information as possible in your petitions, and be patient. The final answer may be that all the logs they have show a valid transfer by you, but they should be able to tell which credit card or payment method paid the transfer fee, and if that matches what YOU use, then the answer will be clear.

Do you have access to the account where the character was? Because normally hackers will change your password as soon as they steal your account.

In any case, patience, details, and patience. Sorry that this is happening to you.

thx for the reply,

I logged onto the account and found the char not there. My email details have been changed and also my origin and steam.

I have managed to get them back now but my eve is still waiting. Its just naffing me off seeing my char logged on by somebody else

Like Merouk said, only thing you can do is wait and hope that CCP finds evidence.

As for the future:

1.) ALWAYS use different passwords for each single program/account you use. You would be amazed how many people huge 1 password for everything.

2.) NEVER give your account name / password / any other credentials to ANYBODY. It's yours and should stay yours.

If the character was transferred, CCP got paid. Whomever paid them is the culprit. See if they will tell you. They should easily be able to determine it was not you.

Character transfers need authorization of both accounts involved, and need to be paid for. If a character was transferred across your account without your knowledge, I suggest changing your password ASAP, and contacting CCP to find out what happened. Any resolution of this issue is strictly between you and CCP, and discussion of it does not belong on the forums.

5. Ranting is prohibited
A rant is a long-winded, redundant post, often filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the game, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

Because of a breach of the above rule, and because this thread does not contain content relevant to new players, it is locked.
