Character Creation question on a reactivated account

is there a way to change the character gender or race once a character has been created or on my original character on the account that I have just reactivated? I heard that you cannot change names since your reputation follows you. But can you somehow change the gender? or the race Would the devs change it for me if I petition considering the account was inactive and does not have any history or negative rep?

Also, when it says: member for X amount of years X amount of months and X amount of days on the character screen is that per account or per character?
Meaning if I have a character for a year that I have not played and delete the character and create a new character on that account or add a second new character will it show on the new character that I have been a member for a year or does it get reset to 0 and the member since notification starts over with the new character? Would it show both characters as being members for a year or 1 being a member for a year and the new character being a member for 1 day?

Also what are the rewards for a buddy pass for the person who issues the buddy pass? I know people give upwards of 450+ million to the invitee but what does the person who issues the buddy pass receive as a reward? Do they get ISK and Plex or just Plex or extra game time?

No, you cannot change your gender or race. I'm pretty sure CCP will answer "no" to your petition if you ask it, too, I've never heard of them doing it for anyone.

The "member of corporation for x time" line is a part of your character's corporation history. Click on me and you can see mine on the website here, and in a similar way anyone can see which corps you've joined in the past from within the game. This is a per-character list; if you create a new character it will have its own list of corporations, different than your current character.

The buddy rewards are:

- when you subscribe with a credit card (or similar), he gets the choice of 1 PLEX or 1 month game time.
- if you subscribe with a PLEX, he just gets 1 month game time.

PLEX is currently worth 500 million, and some people turn around and give you a sizable portion of that. Not everyone does that, though. If you decide to create alt accounts, you can use the buddy system on yourself. It's a promotion designed to increase the playerbase via a PLEX incentive.

EDIT: Ooh, you're a 2003 character with a bugged corporation list. Some people may value that; an option, if you decide to start anew, is to sell your old character in the Character Bazaar forum. Might bring in a billion extra, on top of the skillpoint value + transfer fee.

Thank you very much for your answer. Tihs is why I was asking. The corporation list is bugged because the character was never in any cooperation or for reasons that I don't know about.

When I reactivated the account I started thinking that maybe someone might find my character useful since it shows a long member history for diplomacy, intimidation, roleplaying or some other reason. I wondered if that was worth anything.

Either that or I was going to use it as my main but I did not like the fact that it is Amarr and male. I really wanted to play a female. My other character is another male so this is why I was asking about the gender change. I was not sure if deleting the character would delete the "member since" or employment history as I just found out it is called. Plus they have sweet short names this one being named after the main mecha robot in the Zone of Enders 2 video game. Some people might find that desirable. I just have no idea what that might be worth.

My portrait is blank for example because I haven't even resculpted the characters yet so I have that option. Amarr males look like old men to me though or The dude Cypher from the Matrix which is not what I am looking for in a " characater's look"

If I were to keep any of them to use myself my only problem is that I have no money on these characters and one is in a capsule and the other in a reaper docked somewhere and the description says security level 0.0. (not sure if that is personal or null space).

I am docked in Sehmy VIII Moon 2 / Gebem / Kor Azor whatever that means. (So not sure if that is a good hub to be at to start over). Can't tell since I haven't really made the character yet.

My other idea was to either send myself a buddy pass or get someone else to send me one so I can get some money and use the 21 day trial account and a new character to learn the ropes and do all the tutorials and then once I know what the heck I am doing then decide what to do with these 2003 characters that I have. Plus I really wanted to make a female character.

I guess I could also just spend $20 and buy a Plex and then sell it on the in game exchange correct? is that hard to do? or does it take a long time for someone to buy it?

decisions decisions....:)

what would you advise? If you were me would you sell it or make a buddy pass to not screw up this character and just have them train skills, or just use this character to learn the ropes without incurring the additional monthly fee? (which I can do as it would be my only MMO total of $30 a month for the 2 accounts) .

CCP had a bug at the beginning of 2004, I think, and it screwed up the corp history. I got a char like that too. As I said, it's something that's rare, and some people are looking for it (and 2003 characters) specifically.

Starting a trial for learning the ropes sounds like a good idea. Create an Amarr alt (same race and bloodline as your 2003 character) to see what the portrait actually looks like, because they made everyone young these days, so who knows, maybe you'll like your portrait.

Another option for starting anew, too, is a promotion they may offer to you, activate a new account for 90 days for $30 (plus the trial 14 days), which is like getting the buddy plex yourself. You'd have to start a regular trial and then check the Account Management page or your email to see if they offer it.

For in-game ISK, 1 plex = 500 mil should be sufficient to get you started, then you can make money ingame or continue with a couple more plexes. Depending on skillpoints, selling your 2003 may bring in a couple billion ISK, too, but trained skills is better to have than ISK, because you can apply plexes at any time for ISK, but you can't instantly apply skillpoints.

EDIT: Your plex will sell instantly, if you're willing to take a small cut. For example, sell orders are at 560 million, buy orders are at 530 million, if you sell for 530 it's instant (and you can make the other 30 million in-game once you get a ship to do it with). There are plex daytraders, it's relatively high volume (you won't be able to sell 50 of them instantly, but 1-6 will go like hotcakes).

Thank you Merouk I really appreciate your help and your time. I will look into the 90 day trial and most likely will go with that or the buddy pass until I figure out what I am doing.

I would totally be interested in buying your 2003 character. Im not really looking for one with a lot of skill points. I just want the 2003 birthdate. You can send me an evemail or convo me ingame. Just to keep it honest, you would have to use 2 plex to transfer the toon to one of my accounts, which is around 1 billion isk give or take a few. I understand, from your post, that you have no ISK. So we can come up with a price where you will definitely come out of the deal with a bunch of ISK. I look forward to hearing from you.
