Apoc Loadout Recommendations?

Hello Eve!
Back to Eve after a 3 year layoff. So much has changed! But I also forgot how much fun it is. =)

I was flying an Apoc when I left but I think it's pretty outdated. Could you kind folks give me recommendations for a good combat loadout? I'm not hugely into PVP so it's mainly for missions and corp escort work.

What do you all think?

Many, many thanks in advance. Big smile

this is I'd say a pretty standard pve (lv 4 mission) fit. it looks a bit tight on cpu. if you want to fit it up a bit cheaper put on t2 heatsinks and use faction hardeners (you can look for them on the market now!) t2 guns and scorch really make it shine, but it will work with t1 guns.

yep, pretty standard pve fit right there. you may get more tank out of a damage control than the second thermic hardener but i'm not sure. you can also try to toy around with a microjumpdrive, i heard that's what the cool kids fly nowadays.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Making a fit cap stable with rigs and mods other than a cap booster is usually a waste of time, so I stole your fit and changed it a bit

It is a bit tight on fitting so you might need a CPU implant if you don't want to use faction stuff. Did I mention the fit is stable with the cab booster but now tanks better and deals more DPS?

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

Cap Booster is the way to go IMO. But you need to be stable with you repper/cap booster off or it'll be really hard to manage cap. Here's what I used, it's cheap and works, you may need to switch the fit abit for other faction but for EM/Therm it's fine. Fit requires a 3% cpu implant as thats cheapest to get around CPU issues, faction hardeners/reppers/heat sink also works but will cost alot more.

Ty all very much. I appreciate it. I decided to park the Apoc till my skills are better. But great ideas!

If you are going to look elsewhere in any case, do keep in mind that lasers are not the best choice for mission boats. They can muddle through most things but you will struggle in many L4 missions. Projectiles or missiles will give much better results over the long haul. Particularly if you eventually plan to go to the mach.

Doing L4s in an Apoc is painful you'll have to warp out several times on the harder missions. Get a Navy Poc it's the way to go, you can mount a cap stable 900 dps tank on it. It just keeps going and going like the Duracell bunny, it's beautiful.
