Trust me, I've won and lost billions on blink. But the reason I play is to have fun, not to make a profit (even tho I prefer winning over losing.)

OMG - YOU LOST NINE IN A ROW! I doubt that has happened to me ... well probably not more than hundreds of times. And nobody can be lucky enough to win 3 of 7..... I think I've done that a few times, too.

Actually, I may not have lost nine straight very many times. See, there is this thing called luck, sometimes it is good for a person and sometimes it is bad for a person. When my luck is bad, for instance, when I first start a session and lose 5 in a row, I quit for a while. Very important for one who is GAMBLING to know when to quit. I have had many times when the "recently Played Blinks" list of the last 25 blinks under the "My Blinks" tab has had 5 streaks of five losses, when I've tested my luck on five different occasions and by not winning one out of five blinks, I chose on those five different occasions not to play, but to conserve my capital and try again later. Other times, I may have had 15 wins out of the 25 blinks listed. I am not going to take the time to consult my log, but I can tell you with confidence, that my losing streaks far outnumber my winning streaks. But my losing streaks are always short, and my winning streaks are only as long as they last and losing streak behind it is short. My testing of my luck is with small prizes and if my testing shows some promise, I will begin to increase the value of my bets and when it starts to run cold, I quickly ratchet down the value of the blinks and if it stays cold, I quit pretty quickly.

Trying to bet your way out of a bad streak is quite foolish.

It stands to reason that not all players can be lucky at the same time, as only one can win each blink and either 7 or 15 finish tickets will finish in second place. Those who tend to keep winning are probably having luck and are also probably looking at recent winning numbers and keeping an eye on the stats page for the eight bars which show the frequency of selection for the numbers 1 though 8. They usually play more than one ticket as well, but playing over half the tickets, though winning will still yield a profit, losing will begin to take considerable more wins to break even, than probablility will support. You can buy all the tickets in a game and have a100% win ratio and win yourself broke pretty quickly. Understanding the Theory of Probability and the Theory of Regression Toward the Mean helps also. But they are theories, not laws. like the law of gravity which is constant and can be overcome in various ways like centrifugal force or achieving manned flight.

Nine losses so it has to be a scam.... I think games of chance are not fitted to your view of the world and you might be happier avoiding them. I'm quite sure that experiencing something which relies on luck for success a mere nine times would make any statistician's head shake from side to side and bring forth a single word from most of them - "study"

For the guy who posted below you who sold character assets and now has no reason to play eve - I think you might have not taken a broad view of the first law of Eve - Never fly a ship you can't afford to lose. Think a little more expansively and try this as a first law of Eve - Never put at risk anything of game value you can't afford to lose.
