Do you think if RMT were allowed more people would play and fight?

Think about it this way, the people (alliances) that RMT can continue to do so and so can everyone else, RL greed results in more conflicts and maybe if we introduced RMT, then EVE will become more populated and ruthless.

CCP would ofc take a share of the ISK sold, lets say 40% and be able to improve the game more

Discuss

TLDR: RMT will give people more reason to play EVE and will provide more ££ for CCP

PLEXes are at over 500mil. So if you want to RMT, there is a big enough demand for game time to allow it.

Sounds like someone got caught RMTing and wants to take his case to public forum.

You are bad and should feel bad. No.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Just get over it.

If you want extra isk in game, go buy a plex.

If you want extra game time, figure out a way to make isk and buy yourself a plex.

If you want to make RL money in game, you are pathetic and should biomass your toon.

FYI, all the sub-based games that went F2P only are ghost towns atm.

F2P games that were that from the start seem to be going ok, tho.

also, you have plex.

We have PLEX.

RMT is not a game style choice, but it is a parasitic business and one which exploits CCP's hardware to make money.

CCP has got all the right in the world to shut it down and to protect their business, and if they would not protect their business would I also have little respect for them.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Yes but if they introduced a safe way to trade ISK for RL money (similar to D3) AND took a 40% cut, wouldnt that be a good thing for both sides?

In the end RMT happens, even CCP wouldnt be able to stop it all, if they allowed it and made money from it, surely that wouldnt make it a bad thing

All ISKs are property of CCP. You cannot give them a share of what they already own.

QFT. Just read the rules :) It's standard in any MMO (well, those which take themselves serious, which seem to be shrinking with the year (*cough* SWTOR *cough*)) that any RMTing is forbidden. And 99 out of 100 cases, you get a permaban (with sometimes even an IP on top of that) for RMTing

I mean a share of the RL money

Lets say ISK is sold at £10 for 1mill ISK,
Player A sells to Player B,
Player B receives 1mill ISK,
Player A receives £6,
CCP receive £4

RMT cuts into CCP's action. It will not be allowed.

So... No.

Also: There's no way this thread will be locked. None.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

We already had a brief taster session of this with the PLEX for NVidia deal. That deal sold out in 103 seconds and caused a 20% spike in PLEX prices. This wasn't even a particularly large offer - a thousand PLEX were used up. But the statistics here show the willingness, nay, desperation, of EVE players to convert their in-game wealth to real life money.

If PLEX was used as the medium for RMT on an unlimited scale, I don't doubt that the PLEX price would be measured in tens of billions within a few days of the offer being announced.

Part 6.B of the EULA reads:
Quote:

B. Selling Items and Objects

You may not transfer, sell or auction, or buy or accept any offer to transfer, sell or auction (or offer to do any of the foregoing), any content appearing within the Game environment, including without limitation characters, character attributes, items, currency, and objects, other than via a permitted Character Transfer as described in section 3 above. You may not encourage or induce any other person to participate in such a prohibited transaction. The buying, selling or auctioning (or any attempt at doing so) of characters, character attributes, items, currency, or objects, whether through online auctions, newsgroups, postings on message boards or any other means is prohibited by the EULA and a violation of CCP's proprietary rights in the Game.
