When is a month not a month? When CCP get involved

So I have always paid my subscription at the VERY end/ very beginning of a month - mainly because I am not well off IRL and I get paid on the last day of the month. So it makes sense. This has never been a problem, until today. Despite the fact that I last paid the subscription for my main on the 31st December at 10:04 am, I was charged today (30th) for the next month. As I am currently stopny broke until I get paid at midnight, it meant that my account has been disabled. CCP, WTF?

If I am not going to get a full month for my "1 Month Eve Subscription" then you really really shouldn't call it a "1 Month Eve Subscription" because it ******* isn't. Call it a "97% of 1 Month Eve Subscription" or something instead. As a result of this, I am now going to lose 24 hours of training - which is a pain seeing as I had timed my ability to have fun with T2 Medium Pulse lasers for tomorrow as it is my day off. Best laid plans and all that...

Have filed a petition but no response after several hours, which is kind of insulting.

Flame away, enjoy my tears. Sorry I don't have a bucket for you to catch them in.

I thought skills continue to train for 2 or 3 days after an account goes inactive.

In game time terms a month is 30 days, always has been, always will be.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.

Just throwing out a guess here.. Months don't all have the same amount of days. A paid month is counted as 4 weeks. A week is always 7 days. It starts counting these days the day you sub.

If that's the case then I will be a very happy bunny when I log in tomorrow.

Then their website should call it a 30-day Eve Subscription, not a 1 Month Eve Subscription. Not very difficult. Also would make them more compliant with Trading Standards.

Unless I am mistaken, "1 month" in any context related to game time, equates to "30 days", regardless of the length of the current month. At any rate, if you believe you were slighted in any manner, I suggest filing a petition and having the folks at CCP look at it to see what happened.

Additionally, as this thread breaks the following rules:

Quote:

5. Ranting is prohibited
A rant is a long-winded, redundant post, often filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the game, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

20. Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are not constructive, insulting or rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.

... it is now locked.

Edit: I should address this:

To my knowledge, skills only continue training for about 10 hours or so after an account goes inactive. I may be wrong, though. The best recourse to get a hard, correct answer for this is to file a question petition. Good luck!
