Idea: NPC Faction Capital Ships in Hi-Sec

It's understood no player Capital ships can enter hi-sec. Yet we see videos of Amarr Titans and other capital ships in promotional videos (see Empress Jamyl's coronation video).

So what if...

Instead of massive Caldari Ravens at the gates, a random number of gates or stations there is an NPC faction Capital ship in the area. It doesn't have to fire (or it could like any NPC ship).

RATIONAL:
1) It would give new players to Eve a sense of awe and wonder at the size of these ships.
2) It would give some idea of the ships that are flying in low-sec, null-sec.
3) It would give a sense of, "someday I can fly that"
4) It would match the lore.
5) It would show the power of the Empire fleets.

there is a leviathan in some system (i forget)

dnt see much point in a ship that sits there and does nothing. at least the faction ships can speed up ur warp if they dnt like u.

Yes.
Would be good to see more npc ships in space for to be able feel the power of the empires.
I agree that they dont need to be active ships, just stationary ones would be enough too.

be support fleet for a pos save/rep op, I did this in BC's lower sp levels

watch carriers rep pos' for hours on end

hear FC say clearlyt "NO MORE CYCLES AFTER THIS, I REPEAT NO MORE CYCLES"

hear some tard(s) go "1 more cycle, check"

wait for tard(s)'s triage cycle to run out

lose the awe of carriers



POS bash and dreads....its about the same really. Replace triage with siege, still not fun waiting for the tard either way.


You will find in time even seeing a rokh trying to run up an avatar's orifice loses its lol factor.

+1 i think it's something i was always thinking about. So some nullsec bands of homeless bums can make titans and supercarriers and 4 major factions cannot ? Oh well it would be nice to see them as some sort of demonstration of power !

there are little bits of eve's history and back story dotted about the place. the destroyed yulai station, the leviathan that is wherever, the station that had a supercarrier crash into it, roden's manufacturing fields, the eve gate etc etc
