Updated ISk per hour Ice mining?

Hey guys just now getting back into eve after a few months break. Anyways with all the changes to mining ships in the game. I'm wondering if anyone has been able to calculate what the new isk per hour is mining ice solo in Mack? Including 3 IHU's and the new ice rig.

What numbers are you guys getting? Is it worth it anymore?

you could, y'know, do the maths. it's not very complex.

Even if the math is too hard, i bet after an hour mining, you'd have an idea.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

A few mill per hours. You can do it AFK in the gallente empire space. System such as Deninard, Tolle and Angymonn are good choice. Pretty quiet.

I mine 2 ice every 101.2 seconds. If I worked out how much that was an hour I'd probably self destruct.

Some things you're just better off not knowing.

Mine ice for one hour, multiply by (52 * avg. hours of ice mining you do per week), then add 10 mil ISK per year. Divide the total by (52 * avg. hours of ice mining you do per week). Congratulations, you now know how much you will make ice mining. Be sure to pledge loyalty to the New Order of Highsec in your bio.

The only good way to calculate of isk/hour is to take how much net profit you made in the past 30 days and divide by 720(hours per 30d) and divide by the number of accounts used to make said profit.

Scratching my head about even wanting to know this. Mining Ice for direct sale is indeed the lowest ISK/hr activity ingame.

If not making something else on your own with the Ice Products, time is nothing but wasted doing this. Better off mining the Ore of the Day.

So your isk per hour is based on a 720 hour period, so when I'm not in eve my isk/hour ratio is going down?

Strange way of working out if you ask me, that's like saying my hourly rate at work isn't really £13.45 for example as I'm only at work for 35 hours a week, so 140 hours a 30 day period, so instead of £13.45 when I'm at work I'm only earning £2.61 hell I'm off to ask for a raise.


Isk per hour is the isk you earn doing the task at hand, so work out how much ice you will get in an hour, and see what it's worth, then cry when your realise how little it is, and decide that ice mining sucks and go do something more profitable instead.

ICE mining profits were up for a while after the ship changes. But due to how easy it now is to semi AFK ice mine ICE has dropped way down in value. Fuel blocks have dropped from 16-20k isk/unit to 12-14k isk/unit. But are just as profitable as they were due to lower ice costs.

I am down to each ship making around 10 mil/hr mining ice, while I can do 25 mil/hour mining ore. And that was a month ago, It is even lower now.

If you want the math for a theoretical max income. A well skilled boosted Mack can pull in I think about 67 blocks of ice per hour.( I do not have maxed boosts.) ICE on average is selling for 120k per block. So that is about 8 mil/hr. Some ice is getting minor interdiction pushing prices in Jita up close to 200k. But I do not expect that to last.

Personally I only ICE mine when I am bust on my PC doing something else,m like work, as I only have to ALT/TAB over once in a while to empty the ore hold. if I have the time to actually play I am not mining ice. I have rarely even mined ore lately as I can not mine near enough, even with 4 accounts to supply my production demands.

I do still build fuel blocks, but I make all my own PI, and buy all the ICE. I Do usually 3 runs of 500 per month. So 60,000 fuel blocks. I Fuel my tower and sell the rest. With ICE products so cheap, I can't be bothered to mine the ICE myself currently.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm basically doing this semi afk. I have 2 accounts and I figure
Ice mining on one account while doing missions on another is effective for me regardless how little I make off it. At least it's something. I was just curious as to how much could be made since I haven't had time to calculate it with work being hectic lately. And was unsure as to what my new cycle time would be.

You'd make more with it simply station trading 5 items in a hub most likely.

So your mining 70 units of ice a hour, figure out the sell value and multiply it by 70. Boom, there is your answer.

The fact of how easy this is to do, combined with the increased survivability of the new mining ships, Is why the income is so low.

Cheap ICE does have its benefits though. Cheap ice equals cheaper POS fuel, which makes everything in the game that relies on POSes cheaper.

Jump fuel also becomes cheaper, but to most capital pilots fuel costs are insignificant either way.
