Hello to you all!

I got into EVE about 2 days ago and am starting on the Agent Missions. I started mission 3 of them military arc. I destroyed the pirates nut neglected to loot the secret docs before I returned to the station and logged off. When I got back on I saw I needed the secret docs to finish the mission but I CANNOT find them.

There is no wreckage at the mission site, they are not under assets, I really have no idea what to do and I can't proceed. Any help would be greatly GREATLY appreciated but this is really getting a little frustrating.

Petition and CCP will re-set the mission for you. Alternatively you may find someone selling a set on the market.

Thank you for responding. I saw one on the market for 50 mil ISK or something....lol A little out of my budget on day 2. I'll send a petition. :)

Just drop the mission and get another one :)
Considering you've been logged out for a while (or haven't dropped a mission in past 4 hours) you will not lose standings with corp. But it will put you on 4 hours timer before you can drop another mission without consequences.

P.S.: Oh, you're on a starter mission. Then yes, what the above poster said. But shall you encounter this problem on a normal mission, just drop it. And just for info: wrecks float in space for about two hours.

On the exceptionally few times I've petitioned a mission problem CCP have reset the mission within minutes - its a priority support queue.

Just a warning for the future here: A similar problem might arise in regards to downtime where you might be in the situation that you killed the target but then did not loot its wreck for the mission item before the servers go down.

Generally it doesn´t hurt to time your mission thus that you will be able to finish it well before DT.
