Question re: Buddy invites & rewards

Apologies if the question is daft...I have been away for a while...

The account page lists an option called "Buddy invite" and promises - somewhat vague - rewards:

After a buddy upgrades you will be able to claim your choice of reward from those available.


Well, I know about the PLEX, of course. But the wording gives the impression that there are other options too. Is that correct?

Forum search wasn't a great help, all I found were threads from 2011 mentioning a free apotheosis. A very lacklustre 'reward' if you ask me...


Anyway, anyone know anything?
