Hulk. If you don't need to haul or tank, it wins.

Procurer is best if you are paranoid about being ganked or want to operate in a "not-so-friendly" environment.

Retriever is best if you operate solo and don't want to use jetcans and/or don't have hauling/Orca support.

Covetor is best if you have industrial/Orca support to haul/store ore and you want maximum yield.

All of the ships above give up 2 attributes (either tank, storage capacity, or yield) in exchange for their specialty. Choose wisely.

I have got to train up mining on one of my alts just so I can mine all day in high sec without fear of being ganked. I don't even have to pay attention for vast quantities of the day.

What would I need for mining, say, Veldspar or something? That'd be a basically free 50-60m/day while I work right?

**cough** Covetor **cough**

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Unless you are using bot programs, which I think you don't, not only this requires a minimal attention to target/shoot rocks but also warp station/unload cargo+warp back, so no, that isk is not even close to be free or given because no one is offering it you, you're mining afk and that's all.

And minerals are not free, you know it right?

Covetor. Hulk has 10% more yield, for far higher price.

Tanked out Mack/Retriever in a .5 system. Loot the wrecks of the destroyers that try to gank you.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I just picked up blueprints for a Skiff which was my eventual goal. I like the Mack as well, I still have to skill up for either of them so I have some time to decide. Anyone have any thoughts on the Skiff?

Skiff is the best tank of the bunch and has a decent ore hold...Best barge for null mining if you are worried about the rats. I personally like Mac clouds where everyone has hammerheads or some such...makes the rats melt before they can kill you usually.
