Does anyone else miss the old titans?

I may be suffering a moment of nostalgia, but i got to thinking today about the old titans, back before the DD nerf. Does anyone miss the awe and dread of the AOE doomsdays, when the entrance of a single titan onto the field was a harbinger of impending doom? Don't get me wrong I understand the nerf with the proliferation of titans now in the game, but does it seems these ships have been dimished far more than they should be? I mean aren't these ships supposed be the ultimate weapons of mass destruction in the eve universe? seems to me they've been reduced to little more than extended jumpgates now. I'm prolly talking out my rear but i miss the old rush of fear when one of these ships got dropped on my battleship fleet. Opinions people?

Nope. Do not miss

You appear to miss that 'single' titan.

You know how many titans there are in game now?

You have no idea just how many titans are going to arrive and DD.

It's fairly shocking how many are being rolled out monthly.

I don't know, but its more than 1 a year so i'm shocked

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

like i said i understand why the ships were nerfed i just miss the old ones where all you needed was one and not one hundred. think they could make a script or something that could limit it, so the titans had to be used more strategically, like out of all the titans in a system only one can fire off a doomsday every ten minutes. still keep the aoe but limit they usage of them in some way. seems kinda pointless to reach the point of being a titan pilot and spend most of your days jump bridging fleets, if you get to log on at all. lol

The only thing I miss about titans is when they were rare. I would gladly give the titans back their AoE DDD if the possibility of one fleet/alliance having two titans on field at any point in time was zero.

Remember when people knew when a titan pilot logged in? Every titan pilot in the game was known. People have no clue now or don't care. Its not special any more.

No, nobody misses the days were all you could bring to big fleet fight were DD-tanked battleships.

They should just remove their offensive capabilities, then maybe people will stop training for them, besides for logistic purposes.

Might even open up a chance to balance supercarriers properly.

I miss the old doomsdays... the titan pilot actually had to be scared of dreads as he couldn't do eeny meeny miney mo and then blow one out of the hyper liquid

I agree with you there, the ship is just another ship now, a big slow useless jug you need a dozen of them to seriously influence a fight other than just putting a big bullseye on the battlefield, or smash a station. What i miss is noth the DD tanked battleships bu the fear of the ship itself, just knowing one could pop up and crush an entire fleet with a single blast. Do not misinterperate me i'm not for the proliferation of a dozen doomsday capable titans goin off one right after the other, i think use of the doomsday needs to be controlled, for example a systemwide wormhole like effect caused by the use of one doomsday scrambles things up preventing the use of another doomsday for like ten minutes. similar to the effect using the doomsday has on the titans ability to move or jump. that should eliminate the multiple doomsday arguement. but i mean as far as DD tanked battleships are concerned, what do you think the DD is for? It's called a doomsday device for a reason after all, it's supposed to be a weapon of last resort that decimates all opposition are around it.If it's not going to do what the name implies theey should remove it or rename it IMO.

I do.

Bring back the old days and death to the blob. We don't care if it kills your pvp, because eve is a cold hard, non consensual puppy.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

My dream was run around the galaxy one day, doomsdaying every drake I could find before losing my titan in a glorious ball of fire. Mittens crushed my dream and I will never forgive him for that.

I miss the old GD, back before it was filled with people whining about titans.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

if the sub caps get caught in the blast radius of a doomsday when they know there's gonna be a titan on the field that's their own problem, in all honesty. if they get ambushed and destroyed by a titan that's also their own fault, same thing as getting jumped by a roam ratting in a carrier. war is about strategy and tactics not blobing together the biggest number guns, removing the tians AOE doomsday took away the one major peice of the ship that allowed to be the most influential weapon on the field which is what it was intended to be in the first place.

It's like nobody knows why doomsdays were repurposed and not nerfed
