This thread is the antithesis of all of the recent WIS support threads.

I for one am glad that CCP is finally choosing to return to Eve's core and classical experience, FIS. The news I've heard so far has been excellent: engine trails, 4 new battle-cruisers (in a complete class of their own), new nebula, and hopefully some balance to FW and nullsec. The winter expansion will not disappoint after all these few dozen months.

Join me comrades as we show our praise for CCP's boldness and fearlessness for choosing to make the right decisions during these hard times instead of letting Eve's core experience sink under stagnation.

But what exactly is wrong about having FiS and Wis? Both.
There are not WiS-Only support threads, just FiS-Only support threads.

I'm all for the push towards better FiS.

I'm also all for keeping WiS in development. FiS and WiS don't have to preclude each other. In fact, I'm a bit confused why EVE hasn't come further after 8 years of life.

I'm all for adding WiS content so that EVE may appeal to a wider audience, but at the rate CCP is churning out Incarna coupled with the fact that no significant FiS (especially PVP) content has been introduced in a long time it's only natural that the people who have been playing the same spaceship game for the last several years are getting bored and a majority of those people have no interest in walking in stations at all because it's the spaceship product that sold them. I think the refocusing of spaceship content is great and the players deserve it.

As for putting Incarna on the backburner, I suppose it's either that or DUST. CCP simply cannot do all these things at once. Of course that puts us in the same predicament, as I'm sure there are many people who are looking forward to DUST. I personally wouldn't care and would turn a blind eye to Incarna development if CCP manages to put out an expansion of Apocrypha scale to keep me happy for the next couple years.

Make WiS go away.
WiS whiners are crying, and a few of them are now pushing for 'FiS AND WiS' in the hopes they seem more reasonable.

Any time spent on WiS moves the game in the wrong direction and takes resources away from Eve.

They should be ignored by the rational player base.

CCP should treat them as a small, naive child, or 'Occupy Wall Street' protesters. Just pat them on the head, knowingly, then turn their back and continue to improve FiS. Blink

New content is created every single day in EvE and it looks to become even better after next patch.

As much as I agree WIS can have a future too, +1 on the refocus for the winter expansion. It's the right move at the right time.

A sensible and well worded opinion? On these forums? I guess EvE is really dieing now......
