1/10 & 2/10 removed entirely?

I seem to remember seeing another thread about this, can't find it now.

I've been scanning HS a lot since Retribution, and I find my share of 3/10s and 4/10s. However, I have yet to find a 1/10 or 2/10 site. Do they ever spawn, or am I just witnessing a severe statistical anomaly?

Its a common observation. I have only ever found the 2/10 once, and never the 1/10. St Mio found only one of each when looking on the test server, and the loot prices are going up. The c-types still drop from the hideout escalations, but they don't drop enough to have held the prices down on some c-type bits.

They're very rare. Way rarer than the DED 3/10 or 4/10, or any of the unrated sites. Basically what Tauranon said I said. :P

I recently came back to EVE and have been doing highsec exploration in a t1 scanning frig. I am in gallente space (was doing caldari at first, but it was WAY over farmed) and I can honestly say I have seen more of the serp 1/10 and 2/10 than the 3/10 and 4/10 (I'm guessing b/c everyone and their brother is going through in t3s)--so basically, yes, they are there, no, they aren't unutterably rare-someone is just doing them before you.

I don't have the spreadsheet on this PC (I'll upload it later) but basically:
Test server, 20~30 people online.
Scanned every signature in every highsec system in two regions.
Found:
1x DED 1/10
0x DED 2/10
+-5x DED 3/10
+- 5x DED 4/10

I managed to find one! In of all places, a random spot in Essence that a WH opened to, rather than my usual scanning area. Dropped about 200k in loot, but was still fun.

The benefits of this change will be wider access to the pve content provided by these plexes and hopefully more people exploring lowsec as a whole -CCP Fozzie on why this is a good change for you.


So, yes, they were pretty much removed altogether so you will need to train for and risk bigger ships in junky unrated low sec plexes and get smushed in premarked 5+/10s.
