I read that most people picked Caldari when racial bonuses were applicable.

No harm in selling your toon via the forum and replacing it with a faction-toon that fits your modern day needs.

Lots of players picked Achura when racial bonuses were applicable.

I highly suspect the number of roleplayers who picked Caldari did not do so with the racial bonuses in mind, but were attracted to the backgrounds presented.

Many of these characters are our mains, they are not mission/capital alts.

This is an understandable point Dex, although, the history presented was "in-line" with the available propaganda. If the official mandate presents different facets of history, my choice would be to simply corroborate the lifestyle choice with material of the time. Choosing "when I was younger, the State sought ..." or "Little do you realise that even though the State may be portrayed as monsters in the current climate"

There is no arguable reason that simple retroactive continuity should infringe your in-game persona, its counter-intuitive to have a live action theme with a landlocked script.

Although, whatever any roleplayers have chosen previously is accepted as their wish, not something I seek to change.

With one roll of the dice, the stage was set. Scenery changes were commonplace.....

Late post

Ok let’s look at it this way put a time limit on the attack say down time to down time or X amount of hours. Say it’s a rebellion with defense NPC if the missions does not get completed by X amount of hours it is mission fail and it stays.

If it dies mission success a weak would stay in place for historical reasons and LP points are given to all on kill mail (not sure how it would be split due to a lot of people would show in random fleets) or it would given to the corp. as a lump sum and if you in an NPC corp. you are SOL at lest you had fun.

To implement this it can be put in a story line mission that shows up on everyone’s mission board, Everyone has a chance to accept it or not but do to the limit of people in system would limit the amount of people on the kill mail. So it would be more of a 1st come 1st sever witch in my option is one of the fairest ways to do something of this scale.

If you find yourself in a fair fight in EvE your tactics suck!!!

I'm sure there's some Caldari in there sick and tired of the Provost extremism and who just want to go home. Who's to say a few won't accidentally the whole targeting system and tank system for 15 minutes to allow people to shoot it?...Just a thought.

I think that to really do it justice it should be tied in with Dust514. I believe CCP has stated that they would like to expand Dust in the future to involve space stations, or large space ships. Having the debut of that expansion be a one-time battle for the Luminaire Titan might be a really exciting way to integrate the games together into the wider lore.

What about having it set so that attacking the Leviathan triggers an incursion like event, where the leviathan sets up a jump bridge for Caldari pilots to jump in. This triggers a war where the gallente have a set period of time to kill the Leviathan or else all their people on the planet surface are massacred. I've never done faction warfare, but I reckon this could be pretty cool.

I would support a major world-shaping event around the Titan....

It shouldn't be a static structure though... It should be a world event were CCP actually flies the titan, has a CCP support fleet (which includes a triage carrier or two), and gives the titan a lowsec-DD capable of one-shotting Aeons. Have them make a call out to all Amarr and Caldari militia for support too make a fun and interesting brawl!

There's currently a few ideas being thrown around internally for how we can do this, and there's discussion going on so that I can kind of gauge what can be planned and organized.

If something does happen though, we want it to be a surprise, and we want it to be a truly epic, world shaping event that will echo through the ages in New Eden.

So yes, we're considering things, but I'm not going to say what.

Feel free to keep speculating Big smile

Yeh, This is a really cool development.

Some thing to consider a way to measure the success, how much ecm, sensor daming is used governs how much time the attacker have to kill the Titan before it starts inflicting casualties on the planet. More ECM make the shots less accurate with an increased risk of collateral damage to Caldari population. Less is increased casualties to the Gallente population.

it would be cool if a group of gal dusters hijacked the ship and crashed it into caldari prime as revenge for the mom attack of a 100 years ago...

At the end of the game both the pawn and the Queen go in the same box.

My stolen Intel reports suggests there is a large weapon being built or they found one on the surface of Luminaire II. However can't seem to get any dust bunnies to get near the facility to confirm. All we do know a lot of Mercenary equipment is being mobilized the surface and orbiting station to prepare for an extended campaign.

I would like to implore the CCP Live Events team to make sure that - whatever they choose to do with the Leviathan - players who choose to involve themselves in the event actually have to commit to it if they do. Last time someone tried to schedule a bust operation on the Leviathan, players in neutral corporations and alliances made the job even harder by remote repairing its shields, while being utterly safe from any form of effective retaliation (since it was a one-day thing, wardecs wouldn't have helped).

Make sure that if people want to get involved with defending the Leviathan, they take just as much risk as the people shooting at it.

500million + 1billion + 1billion = 2.5trillion? Weird.

Oh trust me, every event in future is going to be a case of "commitment is everything".

Several of our event actors have already locked horns with players over them putting their money where their mouth is P

Seeing that its a Caldari Titan wouldn't it make more sense to have

shield 1B
armor 5M
structure 1B

That wouldn't work out so well. The entire current population of Caldari Prime are either Gallente or Caldari that are Federation citizens.

Would work out much better if they jumped the titan to New Caldari and crash it there.

The Kairiola was not a Mothership, it was a Chimera carrier (more or less).

I wouldn't have a huge problem with that Titan being attackable, but it should also be defendable, and not just by the militia. I am just another Joe Blow, but I'd fly in for defense.

I don't like Tibus Heth (were I given the chance, I would nuke him several times over), but Caldari Prime is the homeworld of the Caldari People, and they have been kicked out before, and the titan is there to stop that from happening.
