Seconded (at least) both characters are in Sinq. Others in the alliance don't have problems in different regions. (that they have found)

Tried this earlier but it didn't work. tried again just now and it still didn't.....the grey bar fills up as the toon loads up but stops at 100% without going into the game.

5:10PM EST here and logged in just fine with 2 accounts, ones in Heimatar and the other is orbiting Jita 4-4 with 2032 in local
