Yeah I know! Another one of these posts. But what I want to know is why does this have to be a guessing game when the change is suppose to happen? Granted I don't have much experience with other MMO's but do they all release updates like this with everyone trying to figure when to act so you don't miss out. You would think the Dev's know exactly when the update would occur.

Unless the Devs don't know or still working on it, or still kicking the ideas around and have not even started working on them.

You would think that and you'd be wrong. First the work must be prioritized by a PM and then (and only then) it must be worked on and completed. Then it must be staged to internal testing servers and QAed/tested. Then it gets queued to be deployed to a public testing server and the devs ask everyone's opinions about the specifics (instead of the broad concepts). Then along with a bunch of other changes it gets pushed out to the public testing server, and once all the teams (not just the one) are happy with the deployment branch it's scheduled to be pushed out to production.

Or you can just read up on software development. But anyway, I find that CCP is lately quite communicative and quick to balance as far as MMO companies go. Lately. Lol

Ed: There are some gross simplifications here. But it's the story of my freaking life right now and coordinating client changes with server changes and schema changes and making sure that you don't break the game when you deploy.

Le sigh.

I'm an idiot, don't mind me.
