1. Message on the screen "Criminals are not allowed here. Leave or your ship will be destroyed"
2. Who is hero? Check. SS -2.8, member of militia. Nothing interesting.
3. NPC police "Gallente police officer" attacks him, shoots and scrambs

Just few questions:
1. Why show me a message about "criminal" if i can't attack this person anyway?
2. Why NPC police attacks its own member?

Something is very strange here. What?

1. Still a criminal in certain systems due to sec status against system security. There are literally **** tons of charts to show you the relation.

E: To expand on that, having a -2.8 sec status means any faction navy will attack you in 0.9 or 1.0 systems, IIRC. CONCORD will actually completely **** you in their constellation if you have bad sec status. You can only freely shoot a criminal when they reach -5.0 sec status or less.

2. Sec status trumps militia standing.

CCP has no sense of humour.

Wrong, it doesn't trump the militia standing, rather they are orthogonal.

Color me surprised. So what navy attacks you in CONCORD territory? Amarr?

I haven't checked that yet, but they said they removed it with Retribution.

Maybe they now act more like the usual faction navies, instead of omnipotent CONCORD.

thanks.
however:
1. this message is sent to another player (me in this case). And this message doesn't give me any USEFUL information. It's quite the opposite: it alerts me with FALSE target to shoot (i need to recheck my overview one more time to ensure i didn't miss someone) =]

2. This is strange lore-wise. Person works to militia and has "not really bad SS":
- he does his job fighting for your side - you don't care about his SS
- you care about SS of your people - then get him out of your militia forces

Either way would be reasonable. But current case is strange.

Watched today quite funny situation: member of militia with SS -2.8 tried to get out of system. He undocks with his BS and some "good" person bumps him until police (the same faction) is pointed and attacked him =] that was quite funny to watch but this makes no sence to me.

I don't think anyone would argue that, lol.
