PI - Extractor Interface Question

Hi All,

I recently dipped my hand into PI and I'm enjoying it so far. I have a 5 planet setup - 4 Planets that produce T2 Components, and a 5th Planet that performs T2 -> T3, and harvests a final T0 to produce the T4 material.

I recently had to restart my Extractors as they finished running for the period of days I had originally scheduled. As I was repositioning and re-activating, I noticed that for one particular T0 item the yield values were being reported to me differently. That is, when i was moving my extractor heads and setting the schedule for how long they should run I would see (for sake of example) 1 milliion base materials harvested over a course of 5 days. However, submiting the run/changes, when I re-examine the Extractor it reports a different total amount, say 800,000 units.

This is throwing me off because I've made a spreadsheet to see how many T4 units i'll produce, based on the lowest number T0 units I produce. As far as I can tell this is only happening for one of the T0 materials that I'm seeing.

Is this a glitch, or working as intended? My relevant skills are at 4, with the exception of Remote Sensing which should only be affecting my scan range relevant to my location in space.

Has anyone encountered something like this before?

The data (colors) is hard for new players to understand. basically the colors and data returned is almost totally based on your planetology and advanced planetology skills. this neans the higher these skulls are the more accurate the data (colors) will be.

So think of it as your skills reflect your ability go get the correct data returned. But since this data is not accurate even though you are placing your extractos where what should be high yield, you will auctually be a few inches off.

So to get more accurate data train the planetology skills higher.
