I am proposing the the current EAFs be reworked as electronic support ships or add a new class using the existing T1 EWAR frig hulls.

Keres counterpart

  • Gallente Frigate Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to remote ECCM strength and 5% reduction in remote ECCM capacitor need per level
  • Electronic Support Ships Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to remote ECCM optimal range and 5% bonus to capacitor capacity per level

Hyena counterpart

  • Minmatar Frigate Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to tracking links effectiveness and 5% reduction in tracking links capacitor need per level
  • Electronic Support Ships Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to tracking links falloff and 5% bonus to capacitor capacity per level

Kitsune counterpart

  • Caldari Frigate Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to remote sensor booster effectiveness and 5% reduction in remote sensor booster capacitor need per level
  • Electronic Support Ships Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to remote sensor booster falloff and 5% reduction in capacitor recharge time per level

Sentinel counterpart

  • Amarr Frigate Skill Bonus:10% bonus to signature maskers effectiveness and 5% reduction in signature maskers need per level
  • Electronic Support Ships Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to signature maskers falloff and 5% reduction in capacitor recharge time per level

Now each races ship is designed to counter their enemy empires EWAR which would result in new modules having to be developed, namely remote ECCM and signature masking modules to counter ECM and target painters respectively

NO!

The Hyena is one of the best small gang PVP support frigs out there and you're ruining it.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

If you read the entire post, you would have seen where I put the option to have new ships added instead of replacing EAFs

While I like the idea, ships bonused to remote sensor boosters are likely to make instalocking gatecamps way too prevalent and, well, way too easy. This definitely shouldn't happen while remote sensor boosters and straight sensor boosters don't have stacking penalties between them.

I agree that stacking penalties should be applied to those modules. You could also make it so that only one active effect could be applied at any one time

don't touch the sentinel

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

kewl idea but i dont know who would fly them. i dont see them having much firepower. in a frig roam, every bit of dps is needed. as for insta lock gate camps, they are already here.

i jumped in on a gate camp in delve when the goons invaded in 08ish. accidentally took a wrong turn into a 300 ship gate camp. i clicked on the gate, clicked approach and hit my mwd and was dead before the mwd turned green. i was in a nano-ceptor, and had great reaction time.

they were in minie bs'es and had even better lock time and tracking. i blew up and and was podded before i even saw the first hit.
i was impressed to say the least.

other than gate camps, i dont know if anyone who would use em. or pumping up supers or whatnot...
