Buff Exeqeror Navy Issue

We need more of these fast Gallente hulls in game. Currently, the Exeqeror Navy Issue is exactly like a Thorax except:
1. It has one fewer high slots, but a rate of fire bonus - effectively equal to the Thorax' five high slots (but makes it less of an advantage to stick a utility slot in the highs).

2. No MWD cap bonus - This ship "caps out" faster than the Thorax.

3. Its baseline speed is higher (248 versus 178).

4. Its drone bay is much smaller (20m3 versus 50m3).

This ship is intended to be "heavy fast tackle" and put some damage on its target (but not as much as a T1 Thorax apparently). At first glance you would think this is the ship everybody would want because it is the "fast Gallente boat" everybody has always been yelling for.

However, nobody flies them because they are too expensive (even with the FW LP discount) for their performance and a Stabber can do the job (it's still faster and can apply damage when neuted) at a fraction of the cost.

Proposed Fix:

  • Add 5m3 to the drone bay. It's a Gallente hull for crying out loud, it should have a full rack of small drones. Really, it should have a 50m3 of drones at least a 25m3 bandwidth if not a full bandwidth of 50m3.
  • Add one midslot +PG/CPU for it to fit a small or perhaps medium capacitor booster II. A small cap booster will allow it to keep point and web on the target in case it is "because of nueted", a medium cap booster will allow it to apply a little dps when it's "because of neuted as well" as well.

I'm sure other people will shield tank it and put an invul on it (it SHOULD have more tank than a T1 cruiser for crying out loud), and others will put a dual web on it to kill small stuff. Both of these options should be available as well.

I don't fly the other three lower tier faction navy cruisers, but it would be nice if they saw a buff too.

They are all terrible, except the augoror if you accept tanking as a role then yes it does it very well.

Back in the days I nearly suggest the same stuff, extra med, more drones, a bit more fitting and additionally twice as much hull HP. I would admit that flying it like a cruiser sized 7km/s taranis was quite funny. However, even bringing 700+ dps to the table it was to short on EHP to deal with the other very common nano HACs in a point blank slug fest.

Today fast and fancy cruiser isn't the big selling point as it was back in the day, while they even didn't hit the spot back then, the environment changed a lot.You would probably need something fancy like a web range bonus on the scythe with a lot more DPS, a range bonus and something like 20% per level damage bonus to HAMs on the Osprey. Not really sure about the Exe, probably a lot more EHP and huge tracking bonuses combined with the ability to fit double webs or dual prob would make it a ok frig/cruiser/kitting HAC buster. Alternative would be a rail kitting focus with very high damage and tracking bonuses.

All of them are pretty sad, my corp has actually done a few scythe fleet issue roams not because they are good, but because they are hilariously bad even if ignoring the 50M isk price tag. Their problem is they made them inferior to the higher tier faction cruisers because of their lower cost. The problem is in doing so, they also made them no better and in some cases inferior to plain vanilla t1 cruisers too.Ugh

Even the normal Exequror as 40 bandwidth and bay, what did they do start ripping systems out?

Nevermind, I was looking at the wrong navy cruiser class hull.

Yes I agree, a Navy Osprey is worthless.

I would say as 'logistic' base hulls, the Navy versions should be given some offensive logistical support (ewar) but then they butt up against the standard t1 ewar hulls. Granted, for their price tag I don't think it'd be the end of the world, I mean, they are Navy issues.
