I'd like some advice on gate mechanics

Not jump gates, but accelerator gates in missions.

They have size limits this I understand, I am able to go though with an iteron V with a mass of
11,750 kg
but my mining barge (procurer) with a size of
10,000 kg
Cannot use the gate, is this an oversight in the game mechanic for that mission and what or how would I go about getting this fixed.
Bug report?
Game play petition?

Just don't know where to file this so a GM can maybe get this fixed.
The mission is the drug bust.

They're limited by ship class, industrial ships may pass a gate but barges cannot. show info on the gate and the classes of ships the gate can take should be listed

If you've checked the ship restrictions and the ship you're trying to use is not on that list, then definately by all means petition it.

Yes, I understand that and see that where it says it in info box
But what I'm trying to find out if the is an oversight because size limit allows a larger ship (interon V) access but smaller ship (procurer locked out.

You're misunderstanding the mechanic of acceleration gates. They are made to handle specific ship classes. The mass of the ship has nothing to do with anything for this application.

Which part of ship class do you not understand? Mass has nothing to do with it. The gate is flagged to include certain classes and exclude others. Possibly because the devs didn't want you to bring a mining ship in.

That's too bad since there are some nice roids to be mined.

Go through(in iteron), bookmark the room(in your iteron), turn in the mission....aaaaaaaand come back with your barge.

to find just empty space.

Edit:
Tried it, recon 1, pocket 2 is nice for miners but once the mission is turned in the pocket, with roids disappears. Unless! you park a ship there before turning it in.
