A question about factories in PI.

I have recently been seeing people here talk about factories they have set up on planets. I was wondering is this a more advanced processor than the high-tech one? Or is it something completely different?

when you put on a planet procesors you have :
- basic
-advanced
-high tech (only on temperate and barren)

so a factory planet is a planet that does not extract anything, it only processes. so you import the input P1-P2, or p2 to P3, or P3->P4, or P1->P4 direct...you name it...but it does not extract.
So this is a factory planet. later

High-tech factories can only be built on temperate and barren planets. So normally any factory planet (a planet that only has factories setup, with no material extractions occurring) will be build on one of these planets if you are going to be manufacturing any P4 products. Otherwise if you will be importing only P1 or P2 materials (and there for only making P2 or P3 materials) you will only need advanced factories and can be build on any planet type.
