Dear CCP Santa, what I'd like for x-mass is...

Being able to pick one of my level 4 skills and just *click* and it's level 5. Just for one.

This would be best (x-mass) eve in-game gift ever!

What do you think?

I think the only one I'd care to do that with is sentry drone 5

MAYBE large hybrids 5

Cause once I hit large hybrids 5 I'll have every single gunnery skill in the game, that market group will actually be empty for me xD

Ooo maybe fighters 5, then I could train fighter bombers and then I'd have every drone skill :D

No wait! Energy Emissions Systems 5, maxed guardian, and able to use capital transfers, that'd finish engineering for me

I could kinda see free SP for a gift. Have it scale to how much SP you currently have. So the younger you are, the less you get. And the older you get the more, up to a max of maybe a months worth.

gee, thanks ccp. coal would be worth more.

i think if they're going to give out sp (which, i can't see) it should just be a flat number of SP for you to spend how you want.

We're already getting free XP when they redo the battlecruiser skills. Plus, you can end up with the same result 6 months from now if they give an extra neural remap and you plan carefully.

A bit extreme example for a completely made up scenario.
But sure, why not.
Keeps people who have stored $5 accounts from amazon and steam from selling a ton of boosted free SP new accounts every Christmas if the idea was ever given weight. Likely one reason why free SP isn't on the table as it is.

Well, free SP if you take it as the face value of the number I suppose, you dont actually get anything more out of it than you did before. Pretty much only useful for comparing SP e-penis sizes tbh.

In regards to the OP, I really dont see this as a realistic present ever. CCP has pretty much made it a tradition of offering moderately valuable items that dont give any real gameplay advantage, but are just sort of cool presents. (CA-1 and CA-2 implants somewhat notwithstanding). Plus, I feel it would alienate anyone who joined the game, say, on January 1.
