Tracking Option on Directional Scanner

I noticed a new option called "Tracking" on the D-Scanner below the "Use Overview Settings" option. Anyone know what tracking does? I can't find any information about it.

It focuses camera on the target you are, well, tracking. By default it's "C" to toggle.

Actually it's slightly different. It focuses the camera on the target so it's in the middle of your screen, and thus d-scannable. Compare this to the regular C-toggle, which only puts it in a special spot elsewhere on your screen, for the purposes of looking cool.

I had that same question. Then I clicked on it.

It's a pretty awesome addition to Eve.

I stand corrected. I didn't realize they were two different functions. Strangely, the overview does not differentiate between the two toggles, just says "- Tracking" in either case. But, yeah, the difference is quite clear when you test it.

I noticed it too, haven't tried it yet, just continued doing it the old way. Sounds cool. I'll try it out next time I'm in game trying to locate pplPirate
