Hey, seems I bought a hacked character off the character bazaar, didn't know he was hacked at the time, but was informed later by the real owner.

Anyone have any idea how long it takes to hear back from CCP on a issue like this?

Not sure how long it'll be for a reply but issues like this typically take a month or more to resolve.

How do you know the guy who contacted you is the "real owner"?

Edit - oh I see from your posts you never received the character. Fairly easy then unless any of the people involved are connected to anyone "dodgy" or are "dodgy" themselves.

Fairly common sadly. Get access to an account, sell the main, transfer isk - probably to isk-seller - then walk away.

You see it a lot in the character bazaar but as always if it looks too good to be true.......

Why would anyone lie?

Confirming its definitely NOT you in a dress.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
