Abandoning a storyline mission

I got up to level 4 distribution missions with an npc corp., got a storyline mission after running them for awhile. Some hours of trying to complete the story line mission later, my battleship is blown up and I am considering abandoning the mission.

So I have two questions:
1. Do you lose standing with all corps in the faction if you abandon/fail a storyline mission?

2. Anyone want to get paid to run this mission, I think it's a level 4 security equivalent? I'm a pretty casual player and don't know anyone in eve capable of taking on this mission that can help me out and so I would be willing to pay a few million if it means I can avoid an across the board standing loss.

Well, a nice capsuleer by the name of Ice Nomad helped me to finish the mission so I guess I don't need to find out anymore Cool
