Why don't Salvage Drones work in Magnemetric Sites?

I tried to use the new Salvage Drones on a piece of Ship Waste and a piece of Ship Debris and they would not function.

* Is this a Bug?
* Did they forget to program this in?
* Are they not able to program this in?

I totally saw this coming :D

Not surprised at all that using Salvager module on Mag cans counts as something totally different to using it on ship wrecks and that they didn't (remember/want to) extend this to the drones.

I am just glad the site didn't despawn so I could go pick up a Salvager.

I hope it is a bug and not feature.

Those sites specifically even tell one in the warp-to pop-up that the Salvaging Module is required.

Not harshing, but this may be indeed an overight, but I doubt it. The Salvage Drones do not require the Salvaging Skill itself. That's probably why.



EDIT: WRONG They do indeed require Salvaging II. But the salvaging module can go to 5, so it may be considered an entirely different kind of Salvaging... ?

I demand analyzer drones and hacking drones as this will allow me to fit more sensor boosters.

It would probably be better if you just amended the title to "Why Don't Salvage Drones Work?"

Although as a serious-business answer, I can tell you that this is intended. You can't salvage high-leveled wrecks (and site cans) with drones.

No. I want to fit sensor boosters: makes it easier for me to lock your ships and I do not need to re-ship after you have been dealt with.

Then why would you need Analyzer Drones and Code Breaker Drones to fit Sensor Boosters?

The more I look into this the less sense it makes!

'Cuz when I try to activate them analyzer/codebreaker midslots on yer ship they say you are an invalid target and causes me to run away in fear you might secretly be Chuck Norris.

It does but I am still hoping they expand Salvage Drones to target the whole field, if it isn't just a bug.

I pretty sure it is working as intended, while the naming may suggest otherwise the content of magnemetric is not ship wrecks, it's containers. The drones only work on wrecks left behind when npc ships die, whereas the salvager module also can be used to access some containers i magnemetric sites.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Why don't ...... don't work..... .... So you mean it works?

A quick pro is this sounds reasonable.
But it needs extra codes, therefore more money. But this change doesn't make much sense since all exploration frigates have 3 high-slots now.

I believe this is it. These wrecks are not 'triangle' wrecks.
