If your on about refining, you cant Base yield is the yield of the station you make up the rest in our skills.
Refining, Refinery Efficiency and ore processing skills make up the rest

Ow and your standings towards the corp who own the station is also taken into account, you need 6.67 or above to get no minerals taken off you in highsec

Ignore the BASE yield and concentrate on the NET yield

Base yield will never display more than the station's base level, for most empire stations it's 50%, some are lower, lai dai springs to mind, they're either 30 or 40% I can't remember.

for example I'm sat in a Chief Executive Panel Bureau station and its base yield is 50% but the net yield is 99.5% when I tested reprocessing a badger, I've got scrapmetal processing to 4, refining and refinery efficiency to 5, there are implants which can reduce refining waste too, the beancounter RX-801, 802, 804 give a 1%,2%,4% reduction in refining waste.

Then there's tax, to avoid paying tax you need standings of 6.67 with the corp who owns the station.
