Drone Use Challenge for CCP

Yes, this is going to be a "drone whine" but with a twist.

I was recently thinking how some of the best changes to the game came to be. Like the newer bookmarks. What happened was, one of the devs (I forget who, sorry) went to live in WHs for a while, and realized just how painful they were. And fixed it. And the game got better. Thus, my suggestion and a challenge to any CCP willing to take it up:

Fly nothing but drone boats for 30 days!

I mean it. Nothing else but. If the boat doesn't have a drone bonus, I don't want you flying it. And then just go about your business. Run some missions and plexes, do some PvP, fly around WHs if that's your thing. And just give it one month, and see what needs changing.

I think it might be the best way to convince you guys that they (both drones and boats using them) need to be looked at. As well as their modules, rigs (if any), implants (of which there are none), etc.

Greetings, i was wondering if you have my thread about drone enhancements. I fly only drone ships so i understand what you are going through, the first corp i was in, in a nut shell, told me they had no use for me in there wh because how sleeper agro is distributed. I have listed many things that could be fixed with drones and would appreciate additional imput and ideas.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Did you miss the update a couple of days ago? You don't seem to have noticed the bit about how NPC agro changed.

That's if you're using sentry and target is 30km away. Light and medium are terrible post patch, because of the AI changes. When my light/medium drone receive any damage, it's space dust, and there goes 20% of my dps.

I use a drone boat for pve. I'm dealing with it.

Still the best ship for the job.

Err......do you seriously think that any CCP member ever flies missions, or does PVE of any kind?
Why would they?

Don't get me wrong, I think your idea is brilliant, but why on earth would they need to grind ISK in game like a customer when they have dev powers.

2. Drone UI

Contrary to popular belief Devs do play the game and they are banned from using dev powers. They run their own accounts and many played eve before they joined CCP

So many things CCP could do like this. Have CCP do solo pvp for a month, do high sec wardecs, do nothing but mine, try to make money doing courier contracts etc.

So many things in this game suck but I have a suspicion that CCP is mostly null bears and have a limited game play experience.

As for drones specifically I don't think they are that bad for pve, however for pvp they have so many problems. Against a interceptor light drones will shut off their MWD when in turret range which makes them miss and have to catch up again. Mediums have **** tracking. ECM drones are OP and if they get a jam through your ****** for a whole 20 SECONDS!
