So spend hours downloading the expansion, had only a couple hundred megabytes left to download, then, temporary power outtage, few minutes later restart the Eve launcher, and.............. have to download EVERYTHING from the beginning.

CCP are you new to Launchers or something,? It's some kinda outdated "formula" you're using for it.

Ask Steam to help, their Downloader doesn't wipe gigabytes of data when theres a blackout in the middle of hours of downloading

I can't comment on whether it works or doesn't as you say. However if you are having periodic enough short power outages that you know how different downloaders work I would say it is time to invest in a battery backup unit.

It doesnt often happen, but it happened today, I lost 1.3 gig of data, because the Launcher is simply poorly made, I don't think thats an excuse for spending hundreds of dollars buying battery backups, because of a clumsily made Launcher for ONE game...

If it doesn't happen often and you aren't willing to protect against it then I am at a loss as to what the complaint is.

I'm sure thousands upon thousands of players would be grateful if we could pause/restart download, and not lose data due to unforseen circumstances like often occuring internet disconnects.

I mean if someone even accidently closes the Launcher, and they meant to minimise it, Hours of downloading are gone down the drain What?
