New sounds - any issues?

So, after engaging some 'roid rats just now, I noticed it does a little "bzz" noise when you get flagged.

And then it does the "bzz" noise again when you jump to another system...

and then again when you dock...

and then again when you undock...

WTF?? It's REALLY annoying CCP. I don't have any other complaints and RARELY complain about games, but this one is a little ridiculous. Just play the noise once - we get it, we're flagged, we can see the big yellow emblem at the top of the screen and we can hear the "bzz" the first time. It's like one of those annoying Cadillacs that "pings" incessantly to let you know you've put the keys in, or opened the door, or something arbitrarily silly like that.

EDIT: Additionally, as noted in a post below, there appears to be an epic high-pitched squeal coming from the Caldari shuttle - not sure about any other shuttles

CCP's problem with music and sounds: you can't specifcy what you can hear, when.

You can turn music, UI sound and speech level, and World level up/down. That is that. You can't choose to hear specific weapon types, you can't turn on/off gate activation, specific alert sounds, etc.

It would be damn awsome if you could specify would you wanted to hear (and if we could, I'd actually tick that 'audio enabled box' for the first time in years), and it has been suggested on forums, but no. CCP doesn't want/can't/something. If they ever do that, I'd be damn sure to run gate and cloak activation sound with everything else off, immediately..

AFK-cloaking in a system near you.

This was weapon sounds - love them to bits. I'm talking about a different sound.

I would advise you to post any feedback in the Retribution 1.0 Feedback thread. It gets read by CCP very thoroughly, so you can be assured it gets noticed by the appropriate people.

The sound is a bug, hopefully soon to be fixed it's connected to the timers.

- jump gate
- warp
- sound like big steel door ( I really dont know what it is)

Explosions sounds like you throw a brick on a sheet metal in a hall and that BrrrZZZZZZZZT Sounds every three sceonds drive me nuts

I turned the UI sounds completely down to off. It fixed the buzz, at least. Next step: Fire whoever thought that thing was a good idea. Actually, nix that. It's Iceland. Must be humanitarian. Suggest using company med benefits to get them psychological counseling instead.

Please add some more high pitched beeps and random buzzes for random things that happen ingame just incase I haven't noticed them even tho I won't have a clue what some random, non-intuative sound is trying to tell me.
