Just looking for some clarification from some folks (either devs or people who are in a position to test this).

I'm assuming that

Assisting a non-corpmate who has a PVP flag and is in active a war.

does not include alliance mates. If this is indeed the case, is it possible to get this rectified for those of us with PVP alliances (not just corps).

Just had some of my alliance mates test this and get back to me. Turns out CCP did not go full-on pants-on-head ********, and you can RR alliance mates who have a PVP flag, while at war, without going suspect. Is it bad that I'm well and truly shocked by this?

If alliance mate is in a war then so are you. This is a neutral RR thing. It applies to neutral RR. You do however get the same aggression timer as the PVP pilot you are RRing.

Correct. From the patch notes, it specifically says corp-mates are the only ones who do not go suspect when repping you, if you are at war, and have a pvp flag (ie are fighting your war targets). What we tested was whether it was legal for an alliance mate to rep you in that situation, since the notes clearly do not include them. Given CCP's history, we didn't put it past them that they would make it so only your corp could rep you in fights vs WTs, but not alliance mates.
