Last night i got drunk with the guy who persevered me to start playing eve two and a half years ago, he stopped playing eve some time ago, but i took advantage of him being under the influence of alcohol and told him if he he wanted to try eve again i would give him a plex. So i think it's safe to say that another self proclaimed clean eve junkie, is back on the space needle.

Unfortunately i woke up this morning with a bad hangover, and did not realize is was patch day, and already being late for work i ran out the door as fast as i could trying to catch the bus. It was not until i came to work i and was time stamping the database backups, i realize is was 04.12.2012... long awaited patch day...

Now i sitting here for another 5 hours plus the 1 hour bus ride home, and other people are having a good time in eve, making tons of isk selling the new ships and blue prints.

I wish i had called in sick this morning, which i had planned do to the last month or so :(

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Erm by the time its patched and downloaded and the server has died a few times and been emergency patched you will nearly be home i would guess, unless you do these 14 hrs shifts or something.

I'm not so sure. If this guy keeps taking advantage of drunken strangers, he might not get home for quite a while... (his home, that is)

Give a man a match and you warm him for a day.

Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life!

I will be asleep down here in Australia soon :'( Don't have too much fun without me...

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

Vacation! But I noticed that the time effectively playing EVE compared to when I am on normal working schedule has fallen immensely... EVE client is like Outlook, you have it in Autostart...

Why would you call sick on this day of all days, when the servers are down all day..?

sounds like a bad case of patch day fever, better stay home and play eve for a couple of days.
