POS placement / Faction standings

I am wanting to place a POS and worked my way towards 7.13 faction. I temporarily kicked out 2 members that drag standings down so I'm the only one with standings.

The thing is it takes more than one downtime for the standings to be at 'my' 7.13.

1. How many days till it will be above 7.0? (current after first downtime with only me is 2.49)
2. If I let the kicked members rejoin. Will their standings be delayed for 7 days as with new members? Or does the game mechanics not work in case they have been members of the corp already.

I want them to continue their research and manufacturing, but do not want my standings to plummet again.

It takes 7 days for the standings to change, so you'll have to wait that long + reset before they will be updated.

You can have the members rejoin 1 reset after the reset after you kicked them.

So basically:
Kick members
reset 1
reset 2
members join
reset 3
reset 4
reset 5
reset 6
reset 7
Standings are now high enough to anchor pos
reset 8
reset 9
Standings go back down.

I think you could most likely invite the members back after the first reset, but its best to wait 1 additional day just to be sure. This will also give you 1 extra day to anchor the POS just in case.

iirc, now standings changes have instantly during the next downtime, the only people who are not considered in standings changes are characters who have been in corp for less than 7 days.

They changed it awhile back iirc because the gradual shift in standings started to become a burden on the system with no real benefit, because of the constant need to do the calculations. When I last did my standings, it took only a single dt for my corp to assume my standings.

I once podded myself by blowing a huge fart.

Corporate standings now update daily at downtime.

Note that one often has to flush their cache to see the standings change.

Out of general interest: How do I flush my cache?

Thank you guys for the replies.

This evening (after a second DT) I will check my standings and flush my cache to check. The members I will have re-enter the corp so business can continue.

If the 7 resets/downtimes are needed, with Retribution tomorrow those 7 resets might be coming earlier Twisted

But let's just assume the extended downtime tomorrow is enough and CCP has made the best (bug)free expansion ever.

There have been occasions where you need to run a single storyline mission to kick start the standings and get it to change. It should only take one downtime. unless it is bugged. clearing your cache or running a storyline usually unsticks it.

You can double check by looking at your corp info window. Under standings/liked by. you can right click the faction and select show transactions. This will show everyone contributing to the standings and what their standings are. Keep in mind only base standings counts. For Example my standings with Caldari State are 7.96 (connections 4 raises your standings from 7.58) It is the 7.58 number inside the brackets that will be used as it is the base standings. Connections skills only affect personal standings, not the number applied to your corp standings.

It is also possible your corp standings have bugged if one of the members you kicked has not logged in since they were kicked. If this is the case it should show on the corp standings transaction.

There are two ways:

1. Press ESC when logged in. Select the "Reset settings" tab, under "Reset to default" press the "Clear" button behind "Clear all cache files".

2. The old-fashioned "nuke it from orbit" method: CCP Support - How to clear your cache and settings folders

Are you sure you are the only one with standings, and are you also looking at your actual standing, not the one after skills are counted?

Standings reset after the first DT now. They don't slowly increase like before. The 7-day rule is just for deciding which members are being counted in the calculation, and yes, it still takes 7 days even if they've been in the corp before.

Corp standings reset the first DT after 24 hours. So when the member leaves, it's a day, then the following DT.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Oh good to know. I was wondering why I was able to deploy a hs pos the next day after reaching 6.0 standings. I figured it was because I had only 1 person in the corp.

When I anchored back in August, I kicked everyone but myself and it still took 7 Downtimes.

I didn't pursue it as it wasn't that important to me, so yes there is still something going on that requires a week long wait, and I'm not sure what it is.

I hear both 1 day and 7 days still on thee Forums.

But as I'm not anchoring anytime soon, I will leave any Petitioning to others.

It is indeed one downtime. I've done it myself. When I went to anchor I didn't have the standing, so I flushed the cache and then could immediately anchor.

I wouldn't be surprised if it took a week for the cache to flush by itself, but why wait.

I can attest to this myself as my standings took in a single day as well.

Just to be clear, here is how it works.

Once someone joins a corp, it takes 7 days before their standings will change the corp standings (it is based off base standings, BEFORE skills).

If someone is kicked from the corp, the next down time will factor out their standings.

So if your character is the only one in corp, and has been there for over 7 days, the corp standings are what you have.

Monday morning after the second downtime since reaching the required standings my standings for the corp was set to 7.13.

Placed my tower.

So FYI: First downtime standings not corrected (people left only 30minutes before the first downtime. Second downtime standings reset to my actual standings before skills.

Thanks for the replies! Smile

This is good to know that I don't have to kick 3 toons out for a whole week if I simply move my POS.
