Do CCP employees read their in game mail? Can I solicit CCP employees with my own personal game related questions using the in game mailing system?

I think I read that you won't get replies to mail sent to their characters in-game.

That possibly depends on both the Dev in question and the nature of the question.

But at least 1 of them reads evemails.

Although some will probably reply you probably shouldnt contact them in that matter, either reply to their dev blogs or forum posts and hope for an answer or use the petition system if you absolutely need an answer to something imo

I wanted attention for my thread in idea's and features, and I noticed the devs haphazardly respond to threads, like responding to something off the wall like eve online support for the blind and ignoring a 20 page threadnaught. Of course they may not want to give an opinion on certain things I suppose and would be more likely to respond to more non controversial topics. If a dev doesn't like my idea or thinks it will never be considered I doubt he would say "CCP has no plans to ever do this".

I think a lot of times the Devs will read your post, but they might not respond because either

1) it's a stupid idea but they don't want to call you out on being stupid, because that would be bad customer service
2) they are waiting to see how players respond
3) they aren't ready to talk about something similar they are already doing or something that preempts your idea
4) it's an idea that's been brought up a zillion times before and they figure if you are too lazy to check they needn't respond
5) they just don't like you

Don't feel bad. I don't think they like me either. P

I wouldn't go spamming up their inboxes though. Don't wanna pi55 off the makers. In their shoes I wouldn't respond to evemail because it might give the appearance of favoritism and I wouldn't want the player base thinking I'm on call and getting miffed when I didn't respond. The F&I threads are where you communicate your ideas for features. You want a face to face I think Fanfest is your best bet.

Basically I assumed the exact same thing.

Some of them do. CCP Karkur has been known to reply to EVEMails. If you want a guaranteed response though, I suggest a petition.

Most CCP staff members do not reply to their in-game mail, though a few of us do. In general, it's a pretty poor way of contacting us and expecting a response. Twitter actually seems to be the best way to point something in a specific developer's attention. In the case of Fozzie, that's @CCP_Fozzie.

Call it and ask for the CEO by name tell him u have a gold bar for him if Devs post in your thread receive 1000s of dev posts with in the hour.

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

Getting a cell.phone number while there drunk at fanfest works best.

They most probably do but reply' is not mandatory, use the mail system to get their attention to some post/bug or provide specific feedback might help them to find faster solutions to those specific issues but don't expect them to answer.
If you want answers for whatever reason there's the Petition system and also this forum where some of them are quite active.

Can you imagine if they start replying personally to each mail they receive? -ho dear I'd put my cspa charge at 100M if I was one of them and answer mails was mandatory.
