PLEX or EVENT CARD

I've been thinking about the New Eden event in this case and how the PLEX prices have gone up ingame.

We all know that to enter the New Eden event you had/have to pay with PLEX. Since this even has pretty much nothing to do with the daily going ons in EVE, I'd suggest you might consider a new idea/concept brought into the game.

The idea:
CCP inroduces Event Cards into the game. You can buy those cards online or with isk and yes you can also sell them for isk. It's exactly the same concept as PLEX but with its own meaning, namely events.

I have not thought about prices for Event Cards yet, just think an introduction for that in feature events might be thought about.

What would be the point? The PLEX requirement is there to act as a barrier and for CCP to cover some of the cost. Any item CCP doesn't make money on isn't a suitable substitute, so it's going to have to be something a player has to pay RL money to get. Basicly you're asking for a PLEX, that is cheaper for you to buy then a PLEX and more limited in use then a PLEX. The obvious problem is, that there is no reason for any players to buy your items for resale. Why would they buy an item with much more limited use then a PLEX, that earns them less ISK from a sale? PLEX seems like a much more attractive option for CCP and for the buyer.
